Besides supervising the dairy, beef and sheep divisions each year he has worked closely with 4-H and FFA youth programs at the fair. Woodward is a founding member and past president of the University of Delaware Agricultural Alumni Association. He was the 1982 recipient of the association’s George M. Womlow Award, which recognizes out standing service to agriculture by a university graduate. As program leader in agriculture, Woodward replaces Richard E. Fowler, who recently became director of the Delaware Cooperative Extension Service. Fellow Kent County agricultural agent Bob Hochmuth assumes the post of county extension coor dinator.
