Oats in the farmer owned grain reserve will remain in release status through Sept. 30, said Everett Rank, ad ministrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Stabiliza tion and Conservation Service. Rank said officials of USDA’s Commodity Credit Corporation made the decision on the reserve oats following their review of CCC’s average market prices Sept. 4, as reported by USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service, ad justed to reflect the market price received by farmers. On Sept. 4, the ad justed price for oats was $1.72 per bushel, 7 cents above the release level of $1.65 for reserve oats. Minneapolis is the dai ly market the CCC reviews for oats. Storage payments for oats will remain stopped and interest will con tinue to accrue.
