Congeniality award.
Three of the dairy princesses
received recognition for giving
outstanding creative presentations
and presented them to the
audience.
Montgomery County Dairy
Princess Kitty Kopistecki, told
about the benefits of drinking milk
while she milked a cardboard cow
in the barn.
Clanon-Venango Dairy Princess
Beth Sherman dressed as a
Holstein cow and told about milk’s
nutrients and milk products. Her
lecture was periodically in
terrupted by apparently un
controllable “mooos.”

posed as a radio announcer on
station W-COW to tell her audience

postponed college to devote all her
energies to her job as dairy
princess.

an award in appreciation for her
efforts.
Judges for the event were Dr.
Francis Daniel, a veterinarian and
dairy farmer from Virgina; Mrs.
Martin Frey, a former Maryland
dairy princess; Mrs. Polly Nichols,
a fashion designer and a mother of
two; and Max E. Spann, a dairy
farmer. Scrapbook judges were
Susan Howes and Cindy Weimer.
