    HARRISBURG The Society of
Farm Women of Pennsylvania has
awarded four scholarships to
County students pur
suing careers in the field of home
economics. Elinor Eidson of
Chester County, chairman of the
Flora Black Memorial Scholarship
committee, announced the winners
at a recent meeting of the
executive board in Harrisburg.
The following students have each
received a $5OO Flora Black
Memorial Scholarship:
• Randall Scott Wolgemuth, 19,
son of Mr. and Mrs. John H.
Wolgemuth, R 2 Mount Joy. A
graduate of Lancaster Mennonite
High School, Randall is in his
second year at Culinary Institute
of America, Hyde Park, N.Y. He is
presently working on an internship
at Opryland Hotel, Nashville,
Tenn.
Randall is the first male student
to receive a Pennsylvania Farm
Women scholarship. His mother,
Thelma Wolgemuth, is a member
of Lancaster County Farm Women
Society 27.
• Donna L. Rohrer, 18, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Harold G. Rohrer,
1623 Book Road, Lancaster. She
will attend Messiah College,
Grantham, as a freshman.
A graduate of Lampeter
Strasburg High School, Donna
plans a career in fashion/clothing
retail. Her mother, Helen Rohrer,,
is a member of Lancaster County
Farm Women Society 28.
• Mary Sue Rohrer, 17, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Rohrer, R 7
Manheim. Mary Sue is enrolled at
the Berks Campus of Penn State
University.
A graduate of Hempfield High
School, Mary Sue will prepare for a
career in hotel and food services
management. Her mother, Grace
Rohrer, is a member of Lancaster

Boots and Saddles Club raises *5OO for Therapeutic Riding Program
LANCASTER - A Fun Day,
sponsored by the Boots and Sad
dles 4-H Club, was held on Sept. 22
at Fellenbaum Stables, raising
$5OO for the Therapeutic Riding
Program at the Central Manor
Horse Farm.
The club is planning an open
Ride-A-Thon through the state
game lands on Oct. 28 to benefit the
therapeutic program. For more
