Market Comment: Movement of
ready to cook whole birds has
increased in keeping overall
supplies in better balance then
earlier in the week. Trading on leg
quarters is improved for next
week; however, the bulk of the
activity in the parts complex
remains relatively light and
unaggressive.
Slaughter schedules are light as
several plants curtail production.
Weights are mixed. Undertone
about steady but improved.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are
unchanged on U.S. Grade A 49-55
cents.

MARKET COMMENT: Prices
are unchanged to higher on
mediums. Cartoned egg movement
is slow to fair and noted in some
quarters as below expectations for
a normally light last week of the
month. Floor stocks are fully
adequate to ample on all sizes.
Graded mediums are in heavy
supply and packs of extra large
and large loose have increased in
availability. Undertone steady.
