ATTENTION DAIRY FARMERS To: Dear Sirs: After reviewing the expenses of operating my business, economics dictate that I must recover a greater portion of the operating expenses. Just as any other segment of the business economy, farmers cannot operate at a loss year after year. As a sound business move I want an increase in my milk price by .65 per cwt. This will, most assuredly NOT cover my expenses but will allow for the tax and advertising. I’m sure that you are aware that if one end of our business is not healthy, the rest, in time, feels the effects. I know that an adequate supply of milk is needed on your end as is an adequate income on the producer's end. Because you are in a better position to pass the cost on to the public, I trust there should be no great problems. If you are a Dairy Farmer, and agree with this letter, fill in the name of your milk company at the top. Date it, sign your name, and clip and mail to: National Farmers Organization 202 Bushkill Street Easton, PA 18042 (215) 258-2904 Please mail before October 1,1984.
