president, explained that the
change is designed to more ac
curately reflect the activities of the
company, a wholly-owned sub
sidiary of Agway Inc.
Kutil said that the scope of the
company’s business had
broadened rapidly so that the term
“petroleum” did not adequately
“represent the type of business we
are in, nor the expanded services
which we can provide throughout
the nine-state area in which we
operate.”
According to Kutil, part of the
motivation for the name change is
the rapid growth of propane gas
