Hubbard, 111, also had some previous awards to her name. She was junior all-Pennsylvanian last year and was named grand champion of the southcentral championship'show this summer. Sue Eisenhart of Thomasville swept the Jersey championships, taking the senior and grand champion titles with her 3-year-old Daisy, the reserve grand cham pionship with senior yearling Dandy, and the dam and daughter class as well. Sue is the daughter of Rodney and Sarah Eisenhart. While Bridgette Boyer took home the overall showmanship honors, exhibitor Amy Shoemaker captured the champion fitter award for all breeds. The hard work she had put in was clearly evident, as her mostly white Holstein nearly sparkled. Judges for the 4-H shows were Mike Stiles of Clearbrook, Va., and John Morris of Frederick, Md. Stiles, part of Waverly Farm Jerseys, a partnership of four brothers, remarked that all the exhibitors were courteous, prompt to the ring, and attentive to suggestions. He said that it was obvious that the youths’ animals were well-cared for and well-fitted. Sharing the judging respon sibilities with Stiles was John Morris, retired dairy science specialist from the University of Maryland. Morris and Stiles are well-acquainted. While at the University, Morris coached wihning state 4-H dairy judging teams, and members of some of those teams included Mike Stiles • 12 Tractor Spreaders • 4 Spreader Trucks • 2 Bulk Nurse Trucks • 2 Crop Spraying Trucks WE DON'T SELL SERVICE...
