The North American In ternational, far and away, the world’s largest all-breed livestock show, will feature more than 13,500 entries in 1984 and over $300,000 in premiums will be earned by winners. According to Harold Workman, Manager of the NAILE, the very finest livestock bloodlines from all over the United States and Canada will be represented at the 1984 event. Cattle breeders from all over the world will converge on Louisville for the 1984 North American In ternational. Many foreign visitors will buy animals, embryos or semen for the improvement of their own herds. In addition, foreign visitors will attend various seminars and talk to noted U.S. and Canadian livestock breeders to pick up breeding and herd management techniques from the owners of the finest livestock in the world. Manager Workman has con firmed that visitors from nearly 20 foreign countries are expected at the 1984 NAILE. The NAILE is also a strong drawing card for the public, with attendance over 100,000 in 1983 representing a continuing trend to larger public appeal. Part of the secret of this growth is the fact that the show offers something for nearly everyone. In addition to high-quality livestock, the show offers events such as the three-day North American Championship Rodeo, November 9, 10 and 11, in the Coliseum; a Children’s Bar nyard featuring baby farm animals of all kinds; a wide variety of educational, trade and craft exhibits; Country Music Entertainment; and an event that promises to be a huge crowd pleaser, the first annual Draft Horse Pull, slated to be held on the NAILE’s opening weekend.
