week’s arrivals. Offerings are
again increasing, and overall plant
schedules are at or near normal
through next week. Some forward
bookings are noted but for the most
part this is spotty. Finished
product sales are fair to fairly
good.
Light Type Hens: 11-13%, mostly
12-12%.

Market Comment: Movement of
ready to cook whole birds remains
fairly good overall, and plants
continue to report well-cleared or
satisfactory clearances. Leg
movement is slowing in several
quarters while wings meet a mixed
call. Leg quarters, along with
breast items, clear well.
Slaughter schedules are heavy.
Weights are mostly desirable. Live
supplies are mostly moderate.
Undertone fully steady to firm.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are
unchanged on U.S. Grade A at 52-58
cents.
