Market Comment: For today
movement of ready to cook whole
birds is mixed but fairly good
overall. Inquiries for parts con
tinue to improve and pricing on
most items advanced as stocks
work lower. Slaughter schedules
are heavy. Weights are generally
desirable to heavy. Live supplies
are at least adequate. Undertone
steady.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are
unchanged on Ui>. Grade A at 50-56
cents.

Two layers with distinctly different characteristics... From two
separate research programs.
You don’t have to buy from two different companies to get the two top
layers on the market. *
The XL shows excellent production under many management
conditions. The DK responds best to finely tuned, close management.
DEKALB Layers are bred to possess the economic traits most
applicable to your operation. You do have a choice... The high
productivity XL or the high efficiency DK.

MARKET COMMENT; Car
toned egg orders are often noted as
dull, slow and no better than fair.
Best movement is noted on loose
packed eggs which meet a good
call in most instances. Retail
promotional activity is spotty and
usually stimulates better
movement; however, some
dealers report disappointment
with current results. Supplies and
offerings are noted as fully
adequate to ample or available on
most sizes. Undertone about
steady to weak.
