    Cattlemen hold field day-
DOVER Tours, type
discussions, judging contest and
panel problem shooting and more,
were all part of the South Central
Pa. Cattlemen’s Field Day. Walter
& Nellie Laird of Dover, hosted last
Saturday’s event.
Although it was a seemingly
typical August Day, the hot, humid
overcast weather did little to deter
the 125 motivated cattlemen. The
days events began with a judging
contest. Contestants placed 4
classes of cattle which consisted
of: a cow/calf class, 2 yearling
heifer classes and a market steer
class. Bill Holloway and Tim
Livingston officiated the contest
and gave reasons for the placings.
In the junior division, Jamie
Kohr, York, the South Central Pa.
Cattlemen’s Queen, walked away
