showing career, Kline remarked:
“It’s nice to be beaten by a young
exhibitor on the way up.”
Kline’s cow was described by
Judge Ebersole as a tall and framy
animal with excellent height of
rear udder attachment.
Both udders obviously helped
carry the cows to their titles as the
champs ended up one and two in
the udder competition.
Sonnen and Kline also placed
well in the junior 4-H and FFA
competition held Tuesday at the
Fair.
Junior champion in the large
Holstein show was exhibited by
Nelson Bomgardner, of Ono, with a
senior heifer calf and the reserve
championship went to Dale
Hostetter, of Annville, with a
Senior Yearling.
The coveted Premier Breeder
and Exhibitor honors went to the
John Bomgardner family..
