Clearinghouse Inc. Board of
Directors has voted to discontinue
the issuance of the Tuesday and
Thursday egg quotes effective
Aug. 1.

MARKET COMMENT: Prices
unchanged. Cartoned egg
movement is fair overall. Floor
stocks are well-cleared on jumbos
and extra large with most dealers
still having to cut their orders on
jumbos to some degree. Large are
fully adequate overall, par
ticularly on graded loose packs.
Mediums and smalls are ample
and excess lots are difficult to
clear, some delivered sales noted
within the area of current ship
ments were reported on class I’s at
57- cents, heavyweight class 4’s
at 29 cents, graded loose large at
58- cents, graded loose mediums
at 41-42 cents with some graded
loose small picked up at 28 cents.

ready to cook whole birds is fair to
good and plants are clearing
current production satisfactorily.
Demand for parts remains good
but the interest was not quite as
aggressive as earlier in the week.
Slaughter is moderately heavy.
Live supplies are at least
adequate. Weights are desirable to
occasionally heavier than desired.
Undertone steady but cautious.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are
unchanged on U.S. Grade A at 52-58
cents.
