Market Comment: Movement of
ready to cook whole birds is
slightly improved over yesterday,
but generally remains only fair in
most quarters. Leg items and
wings attract on only limited
inquiries. Breast items are usually
more in balance with demand.
Slaughter schedules are heavy.
Weights are mixed. Live supplies
fully adequate. Undertone barely
steady to weak.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are
unchanged on U.S. Grade A at 53-58
cents.

MARKET COMMENT: Prices
unchanged. Cartoned egg
movement continues only fair
overall. Promotional activity is
only spotty but helps keep supplies
in manageable balance. Floor
stocks of extra large are
seasonably light but adequate in
most quarters. Large and medium
are in good balance to fully
adequate. Nest run offerings are in
uneven balance with heavier
weight classes in the closest
position. Undertone steady to fully
steady.
