Nikelle Wivell, left, showed the champion Holstein, and Thomas McCauley had the
reserve champion.
Lucinda and Scott Trimble find the
competition between themselves to
be just as challenging. The
children of Don and Carol Trimble,
Peach Bottom, Cindy and Scott
have 14 years of 4-H experience
between them - Cindy with eight
years and Scott with six.
Until this year, Cindy and her
entries have dominated the Brown
Swiss class, earning grand
championships almost every year.
Scott followed right behind with

reserve champion honors.
However, the tables were turned
this year as Scott carried off the
championship.
With his entry, a senior calf bred
by Arthur L. Morrison, West
Alexander, Scott received the
championship laurels. Cindy and
her senior calf entry, Lucinda’s
Allspice, were named the reserve
winners.

top spots in their classes. Members
competed in Ayrshire, Brown
Swiss, Guernsey, Holstein and
Jersey classes.
Winning the championship title
in the Ayrshire breed was a Mount
Joy 4-H’er. Angela Spickler and
her 4-year-old cow, Masonic
Homes M.A. Kate, took the grand
championship. The daughter of
James and Linda Spickler, Angela
and her cow won the title last year
as well.
