    Sameulson to speak at Natl. Corn Growers meeting
INDIANAPOLIS, IN. - Orion
Samuelson, host of the weekly 30-
minute television show “U.S.
Farm Report,” will be one of the
illustrious speakers to appear
Monday, July 30, at the National
Corn Growers Association (NCGA)
convention at Indianapolis.
Samuelson, the only broadcaster
to have received two “Oscar in
Agriculture” awards, has been
Farm Service Director for WGN
radio and television since 1960 and
Vice President of WGN Con
tinental Broadcasting Company
since 1975. His viewpoint on the
farm situation is honed by the
countless interviews he conducts
ta?mers
each year
with
agribusinessmen.
In addition to traveling
throughout the U.S., Samuelson
has accompanied agricultural
trade missions to Europe and Asia,
and at the request of U.S.
Secretary of Agriculture John
Block, went to Moscow for the
signing of the U.S. - U.S.S.R. Grain
Agreement.
and
Block will also speak to the
convention on Monday, as will
William Evans, Chicago Board of
Trade; Michael Hall, NCGA;
Robert Liebenow, Corn Refiners
Association; John Marten, Farm
Journal Magazine; Darwin Stolte,
U.S. Feed Grains Council
president; and Donald Wilkinson,
Farm Credit Administration
