knowledge of what needs to be
done could be very costly. Several
hours spent in the woods on July 21
could be one of the most profitable
Saturdays ever.
In this session the plan is to help
forest landowners determine their
objectives, and manage to reach
those objectives.
" On Saturday, July 21, 10:30 to
noon will involve instruction and
information to help people with
their decisions; and the 1 to 3:30
p.m. session will be in the field
making tree selections to better
understand a timber sale and
evaluating the site to carry out

decisions. The afternoon portion of
the program will be in groups or
crews with a group leader to ad
vise the group.
Jim Finley and Jim Grace, both
Penn State Extension Foresters,
will be instructing the event with
the help of Jim Lacek, Service
Forester for the Penna. Bureau of
Forestry, and Dan Swift, Con
sultant Forester of New Albany.
The program will be held rain or
shine. Bring a pencil and pad for
notes, rain gear, and lunch. The
Bradford County Forest Lan
downers Association will supply
beverage.
There is no charge for this ac
tivity and all interested people are
invited.
