MARKET COMMENT: Prices
are unchanged. Undertone steady
to barely steady. Cartoned egg
demand is no better than fair;
however, some improvement is
seen where stores place orders for
weekend needs. Promotional ac
tivity is spotty but stimulates some
additional demand. Supplies and
offerings are at least adequate on
large and lighter weight sizes.
Extra large and class I’s are less
difficult to procure but remain
generally only adequate.

Market Comment: Ready to
cook movement of whole birds is
good and keeps most plants in good
balance to well cleared. Movement
on parts is best on cutlets. Other
items clear satisfactory but asking
prices are more negotiable par
ticularly on eggs.
Slaughter schedules are heavy.
Live supplies adequate. Weights
are generally desirable to light.
Undertone cautiously firm.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are
unchanged to 1 cent higher on U.S.
Grade A at 62-68 cents.
Estamated slaughter of broiler
fryers in Delmarva (000).

generally lower compared to last
week. Undertone steady. Slaughter
schedules are irregular. Offerings
are adequate to short. Plants are
closed next Wednesday for the
holiday, and an occasional plant
anticipates further curtailment if
supplies fail to increase from
current levels. Finished product
sales are mostly moderate.
Prices Paid at Farm:
Light Type Hens: 7-8, mostly 7-
7 %.
F. 0.8. Plant: 10V4-11%, mostly

If your livelihood depends on your ability to
obtain quality chicks or started pullets then you
can depend on Moyer’s. Even through the
present shortages of hatching eggs and chicks,
Moyer’s still has a few open hatch dates of 20-
30,000 lots of pullets available.
Whether its custom grown started pullets,
day-old chicks, or broilers, you can depend on
Moyer’s to deliver. Don’t wait to contact a
Moyer’s representative at 215-536-3155 or
717-677-8473.
