Located five miles north of
Hagerstown on Maryland Route 60,
the Ford dealership went through a
number of name and ownership
changes to, get where they are
today, providing sales, service and
parts for farmers in Washington
County, Md. From 1919 to 1975 the
dealership was called Newman
Farm Supply and was located in
Smithburg. It first moved to
Leitersburg as Brothers Ford
Tractor and Equipment Company,
then Reynolds Tractor for a year

over a year ago the agency hired a
full-time salesman to go out after
the new and used tractor customer
prior to that time most sales
came from satisfied customers

Current Owner, Cliff Carter
notes that since the dealership
began, in 1944, they have added a
new shop, expanded the parts area
and covered the yard. The storage
area has grown from about 2,500
square feet to 50,000 square feet.

Two things that make Fogg
unique are its fabrication service
and its an anhydrous ammonia
sales. With a full-time welder
Todd McAllister in the shop,
customers can get repairs or have
equipment of their own design
constructed for them. Fogg also is
the only established dealer in
southern New Jersey for the
mtrogen fertilizer, anhydrous
ammonia.
Les Fogg is the manager of the
dealership and Ruth Nelson is the
office manager.
