Glancing over the ingredients on the milk carton, she found no caffeine or artificial flavors - just plain milk. With this in mind, she concluded that milk is something that is good for her. Because her mother knows this, Ann said, she allows her to drink as much milk as she, wants. Ann recently completed her junior year at Cedar Crest High School where she was active in the German Club, Astronomy Club and Explorers. She was also vice president of the Cedar Crest FFA Chapter, and will be reporter in the coming year. In county FFA Ann served as secretary during her junior year. Additional activities include membership in the 4-H equestrian Horse Club and in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Judges for the contest were Ralph Heffner, Pine Grove, who is a dairy farmer and an Agway district director; Kathy King, Delta, who is a farm wife; and Arlme Sarley, Lebanon, who is an home economist and a former county dairy princess in Ohio. The group honored Anna Jane Glisson of Quarryville with the Community Citizen Award. Mrs. Glisson, a former Quarryville area farmwife, is currently employed in the Weaver Insurance Agency office. She is the wife of Richard Glisson and the mother of two children, Jeffrey and Nancy.
