regional sales offices of several
farm machinery manufacturers.
Total fixed and operating costs

indicative of every grower’s costs.

Cash costs in these tables
only estimates for diesel fuel, ou
and repairs (for both the tractor
and implement). Diesel is priced
at $1 per gallon, and lubrication
costs are assumed to be 10 percent
of fuel costs. The $1 per gallon
diesel fuel costs compares to $1.20
per gallon last year.
