Pierson, agricultural mechanics department head at the Norfolk County Agricultural High School, was selected to receive the prestigious Outstanding Publication Award at the Annual Conference of the American Association of Teacher Education in Agriculture. The National Association held its Eastern Regional Conference in Stur bridge. Montgomery Co. plans summer 4-H program NORRISTOWN, Pa. - The 4-H clubs of Montgomery County will again offer their five-week sum mer 4-H club program. Youth may enroll in puppetry, fun with foods, jor pet care. The puppetry project will teach young people to use and design their own puppets. They will also be able to perform in a puppet show at the county fair. In the fun with foods project, youth will learn about cooking and the basics of nutrition, as well as how to prepare and enjoy nutritious snacks. The pet care project will teach members about various pets and their care as well as how to recognize if their pet is ill and what to do to help make it better. All members may also exhibit their finished projects at the 4-H Fair. Collins, chairman of the Norfolk County Commissioners and a trustee of the school. Pierson’s publication, Chain Saw Task Sheets, was judged by his peers to be the oustanding agricultural mechanics in structional material submitted for evaluation at the conference. The clubs are open to youth ages 8 to 11 years old and parents are encouraged to participate. The cost is |5 per child and $3 for a second family member, which covers the cost of all needed materials and snacks. The club will meet on Thursday, July 5,12, 19,26 and August 9 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Montgomery County 4- H Center on Snyder Road off Route 363 in Lansdale.
