Procedure teams. This summer
she will be attending the Institute
of Farm Co-op’s. After high school,
she plans to become a professional
in dentistry.
Theresa said her farm chores
include milking her family’s 85
Holsteins and Brown Swiss once
each weekday and both times on
weekends. In her interview
Theresa said she would like to
share her knowledge about the
farm and milk.
Theresa portrayed a nutrition
professor working to create the
perfect soft drink for .her
promotional presentation. After
reviewing all of milk’s nutritional
qualities, she decided that the
prefect soft drink - milk - already
exists.

Chester County dairy princess
Denise Ambler said she believes
she changed a lot of people’s minds
about milk during her reign. Being
a dairy princess, she said, has
helped her leam to communicate
better.
Talking with Susan after the
pageant, Denise advised her to “be
prepared” and to at least write
outlines for her speeches. Denise
said she will be helping Susan for
the first few weeks of her reign and
has already scheduled several

mistress of ceremonies and judges
for the pageant were Debra
Greider, former Lancaster County
princess and state first runner up;
and Ginger and Robert Knutzen,
prominent dairy farmers from
Rising Sun, Md.
The dairy princess pageant was
held in conjunction with the third
annual Strawberry Festival which
featured food, games, races,
demonstrations and a petting zoo.

Theresa Tkaczuk, the alternate dairy princess, will be
promoting Chester County’s dairy industry throughout the
coming year. Theresa was also selected Miss Congeniality by
the other dairy princess contestants.
