classified by weight in 30-dozen cases, and traded in lots of either 300 or
750 cases. Prices are FOB buyers dock, and are computed Tuesday and
Thursday of each week. This week’s prices for each classification were

Market Comment: Movement of
ready to cook whole birds is
sluggish and clearances are noted
as difficult at several plants. Parts
moved to a light to fair call with
best movement where prices trend
lower. Supplies are at least
adequate on all items.
Slaughter schedules are reduced
somewhat but remain moderately
heavy overall. Live supplies are
fully adequate. Weights mostly
desirable to heavy. Undertone
weak.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are
2 cents lower on U.S. Grade A at 56-
61 cents.

MARKET COMMENT; Prices
unchanged. Trade sentiment
steady to barely steady. Cartoned
egg orders are mixed, but fair
overall. Supplies of large are at
least adequate and usually noted
as in manageable position. Extra
large are about adequate.
Mediums are in better balance at
some points, but any 'excess
continue to be difficult to move.
Orders for jumbos are frequently
shorted while smalls are easily
available.
