USDA accepting applications from noncertified egg producer groups WASHINGTON, D.C. - Egg producer groups that want to nominate members and alternates to the American Egg Board must apply to the U.S. Department of Agriculture for certification by June 15. H. Connor Kennett, an official with USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service, said only egg producer groups certified by the secretary of agriculture will be allowed to submit nominees. After the organizations are certified, USDA will aks for nominations to fill the two-year terms of nine members and their alternates whose terms expire at the end of 1964.
