Potatoes Statewide, 19 percent of the potato crop was planted compared with 27 percent planted at this time last year. Barley, wheat Statewide, 13 percent of the barley crop was in the boot stage compared with 8 percent in boot at this time last year. Virtually all of the wheat crop was in the pre-boot stage.
