*2B—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, May 5,1984 Antique clothing featured at Spring Homemakers' LOYSVILLE The 1984 Spring Homemakers’ Day sponsored by the Cooperative Extension Service will feature Millie Bubash, speaking on “Antique Clothing for Men and Women.” The event will be held on Thursday, May 10 at Centre Presbyterian Church, Loysville, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Millie is a former high school teacher who taught French, history and English. She owned and operated her own ladies hat shop for 10 years and she has been a public lecturer and entertainer for 25 years, speaking to a large variety of groups throughout the state of Pennsylvania and bor dering states. For 12 years, Millie was assistant manager and personnel director of the Danks Dept. Store in State College. Currently, she is a advisor for the “Private Industry Council” job club and co-rodinator teacher for the State College area school district continuing education program. Mrs. Bubash is also an avid collector of antique clothing. Open to youth ages 14 to 19, the weekend is a joint venture of the college’s School of Agriculture Technologies. Office of Special Academic Programs, and Allegany County Cooperative Extension’s 4-H program. College officials lave set June 20 as registration deadline for the three-day event during which a variety of agriculture-related laboratory instruction sessions will be offered under the supervision of college faculty and staff. Besides professional instruction, the weekend cost of $45 includes two nights’ lodging in a college residence hall, meals, and use of the college pool, gymnasium, and other facilities. Bruce A.
