XXX Huntingdon Co. Holstein Heifer Sale was held April 21 at the Huntingdon Co. Fair Grounds where 80 head were consigned. The top heifer sold for $2BOO, the 2nd for $lBOO, the 3rd for $1650 and the 4th for $1625. Several sold for $l6OO and the average of the heifers was $931. Auctioneers were Mark Glick and Dale Gibson. The 3rd Pa. Ayrshire Spring Calf bred heifer sale was i.Md April 21 at the Bedford Co. Fairgrounds, Bedford, Pa. The top price for a senior calf was $7OO. The animal was consigned' by Ardrossan Farm of Villanova and was sold to David W. Paul of Garrett, Pa. The second high senior calf brought $660 and was consigned by Charles Gable, Elverson, Pa. and was bought by Joel Rod derow, Mt. Laurel, N. Jersey. The average of the 37 head sold are as follows: senior yearling $287, junior yearlings $274, senior calves $298, intermediate calves $270 and junior calves $245.
