Simmental Assoc, registers 900,000 th animal A horned purebred Simmental heifer owned and raised by the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (MARC), Clay Center, Nebr., has been issued registration certificate number 900,000 by the American Simmental Association (ASA). The registration certificate, issued on March 16, 1984, represents a significant milestone for the American Simmental Assocation since the breed’s in troduction to North America in 1967. In 1975 and 1979 the association registered its 250,000 th and 500,000 th animals.
