IN OUR BOOTS:
It had been a quite typical
Easter day feast.
An absence of food
There had been not the least.
So though it was drizzling,
The air laced with fog,
And darkness had fallen,
My mind screamed: Go jog!
So on up the road
Through the droplets of rain
This jaunt’s mostly fun
But that night was a pain.
Then off, in the distance,
A muffled, dull rumble.
Explosion? Or thunder?
A giant’s loud grumble?
Heading back to the house
Through the night’s misty drear
I saw in the distance
A figure appear.
It looked like a farmer
Out front of the house
And both of our kids were out there
With my spouse.

YORK - The York County
Conservation District is compiling
a list of farmers in York County
who are interested in doing custom
no-till seeding for other farmers in
the county. The Conservation
District will then make these no-till
farmers names available to other
farmers who would like to ex
periment with no-till seedings, but
who do not have the necessary
equipment
