steers and heifers closed 1.00 to
1.50, instances 2.00 lower. Cows
mostly 1.00, instances 2.00 lower.
Bulls steady. Trade slow during
the week with demand moderate.
Live cattle prices followed the
pattern on the downward trending
wholesale beef trade and closed on
a lower note with midweek price
levels untested. Majority of supply
good to choice steers and heifers
with 16% cows and bulls. Receipts
this week about 1150 as compared
to 1313 a week ago and 2590 a year
ago.
