The Bucks County 4-H Council in cooperation with the Bucks County Soil Conservation District will hold a Tree Seedling Sale on Saturday, April 28. The sale will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Jamesway Shopping Center, Route 611 and Almshouse Road, Warrington, Pa. The tree seedlings are sold in packs of 10. Cost per pack is $4.00. The seedlings are two years old and four to 10 inches in height. The following types of trees are available: White Pine - a fast growing tree, reaches six feet in six to eight years; Douglas Fir - a medium growth tree, reaches six feet in seven to 10 years; and Blue Walk for Heart scheduled LANCASTER The American Heart Association, in conjunction with Rax Restaurant, will sponsor a Walk for Heart on Saturday, May 12 from 1 to 5 p.m. The third annual walk begins at the East Towne Mall Rax and follows a six-mile course to the Dillerville Road Rax. Participants are asked to obtain pledge sheets and registration forms from the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, or any Rax Restaurant. Maps of the route will be provided with the informational packets. Prizes, including a weekend and show in New York; a day at Hershey Park for four; American Heart Association tote bags, and free food for all participants completing the walk will be awarded. Walks for Heart are held to raise funds and sunoort for American , Spruce - a slow growing tree, reaches six feet in 10 to 14 years. Place ham on rack in shallow roasting pan. Insert meat thermometer so bulb is in center of thickest part of ham. Cover face of ham with aluminum foil to keep it moist. Bake in 325°F. oven as directed on package label or until meat thermometer reads 140°F. It will take about 2 hours to heat a 6-8 pound half ham. While ham is baking, prepare glaze. Combine jelly, com syrup, ginger and garlic in saucepan. Bring to simmering stage; simmer 3-4 minutes. Remove garlic from sauce and discard. Brush glaze over ham 2 or 3 times during the last 30 minutes of baking. Garnish with sliced pineapple or apples and parsley or watercress. Serve leftover glaze with ham.
