its annual business meeting, with
election of officers and two
directors to fill the three-year
terms of Susan Eyler, Frederick,
and Edwin A. Hevner, Union
Bridge, which are expiring.
Continuing directors are H.F.
Eyler, Myersville; T. Courtenay
Jenkins, Jr., Owings Mills; Henry
L. Dodrer, Jr., Littlestown,
Pennsylvania; and Leßoy Harper,
Gaithersburg. The Maryland
Junior Shorthorn Association,
Kristina Harper, Gaithersburg,
president, will also be holding its
annual meeting.
Among the activities of the
association are the holding of an
annual fall Shorthorn calf sale, and
the presentation of trophies and
other awards to 4-H and FFA
exhibitors of Shorthorn calves at
Maryland fairs. The 1983 calf sale
distributed some thirty Shorthorn
calves to young feeders in
