The high herd in the Centre County D.H.I.A for February
was Valley Wide Farm, Spring Mills, R.D.2. The Valley Wide
herd of 79 cows had a rolling herd average of 21,885 pounds of
milk and 847 pounds of butterfat with 88.1 percent days in
milk

During the month there were 114 herds with 5,976 cows
processed in the 0.H.1.A. program, according to Russell C.
Seward, County Agent. Production ranged from a high of 61.5
pounds of milk, testing 3.8 percent fat, to a low of 18.4 pounds
of milk, testing 3.6 percent fat.
In the owner-sampler program there were 13 herds with 501
cows being processed. The herds ranged from a high of 54.8
pounds of milk, testing 3.7 percent fat, to a low of 26.2 pounds
of milk, testing 3.7 percent fat.
The ten high individual cow actual production records in
D.H.I.A. produced on a two times a day milking in 305 days or
less (unless otherwise indicated) were in the following herds
