Lancaster Society 4
Christine Van Erlach, Lan
caster, was the guest speaker at a
meeting of Lancaster Society 4 on
March 24 at the home of Mrs.
Richard King, Mountville.
Mrs. Van Erlach, a native of
Bulgaria, told the group of her life
as a Christian in a communist
dominated country and how she
found a new life in the United
Lancaster Society 5
Lancaster Society 5 met at the
Blind Association on Saturday,
March 31, with a luncheon at noon.
A short business meeting was
followed by a guided tour through
the building.
The group’s next meeting will be
on April 28 at the home of Jean
Zurin.
Lancaster Society 24
Lancaster Society 24 met
recently at the home of Dee Fisher,
East Earl.
The society is planning a rum
mage sale on April 13 at the
Conestoga Church of the Brethren
pavillion from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The next meeting will be on April
24 at the home of Doris Bewley,
Lancaster.
Lancaster Society 27
Lancaster Society 27 met on
March 20 at the home of Vera and
Harold Frey, Maytown. Mrs.
Harold Gerber and Mrs. John
Nissley co-hosted the evening
which featured birthday surprises
for each month of the year.
Upcoming events include
sharing bingo games with
Conestoga View guests on April 24
and the April 17 meeting which will
be “Sharing Friendship” with the
guests at Friendship Village,
Lititz.
Green Valley Society 26
The March meeting of the Green
Valley Society 26 was held at the
home of Shirley Miller.
The Society’s upcoming events
include the Hospital Fete, An
niversary Banquet and Spring
Rally.
The next meeting will be held at
the home of Catherine Dorwart.
