Berks Co. names Ag Day baby
READING Berks Low. Ag
Day Baby for 1984 is Marcy Ann
Nye, daughter of Thomas and
Vickie Nye, 517 Robeson St.,
Reading. Marcy was Reading’s
first baby born on Ag Day, March
20.
Danielle Bound, the daughter of
Bernadette and Eugene Bound,
Port Carbon, Pa., was runner-up,
born two minutes after Marcy.
Ag Day, the first day of spring,
celebrates the large part
American agriculture plays in
everyone’s life.
Marcy and her parents received
a basket of goodies from Berks
County farms from Mrs. Jean
Beck R 2 Hamburg, and Mrs.
Nancy Seidel, R 1 Lenhartsville, of
Penn’s Agri-Women.
