Dairy family gets York Extension award

YORK York County's Ex
tension Service recognized a
family of long-time supporters of
the 4-H and extension programs as
the highlight of their annual
meeting and dinner last Friday
evening at the York Fairground’s
banquet center.
The Rodney Eisenhart’s of
Thomasville are partners in a
family dairy farm and for many
years have worked with the local 4-
H clubs. Rodney and his wife, Sara
are leaders with the Thomasville
community and area tractor club,
and are active with various dairy
programs as well.

executive committee and during
the annual meeting was elected to
the office of second vice-president
of the extension committee.
Almost since the 4-H center was
built in the early 1970’5, Sara has
helped supervise the kitchen,
taking charge of the many
banquets and meetings served
there each year. Often, other
members of the family assist in
preparation and service.
All three of the Eisenhart
children have been enthusiastic 4-
H members and outstanding in
various project accomplishments.
Tim, the oldest, is presently ser
ving with the U.S. armed forces,
stationed in Hawaii. Nancy, a
former 4-H dairy foods state
winner, was the county’s 1982-83
