Spencer, veterinarian; Tom
Sanderson and Clark Duncan,
dairy farmers, all of Crawford
County.
Spencer pointed out the im
portance of vaccines and early
health care. Sanderson talked of
the gated freestall bam he built in
1973 which decreased time needed
to care for a larger quantity of
heifers. Duncan is a firm believer
in fiberglass calf hutches and has
had less sickness than previous to
their use. The entire program was
helpful and informative.
Nearly thirty five booths
displayed feeds, seeds, milking
machines and various agri
businesses products and services.
The educational day concluded
with the distribution of door prizes
sponsored by the businesses.
