Tractor Pull
With over 80 entrants providing a
long evening’s competition, a bit of
half-time diversion was provided
by Titus Keller and his chainsaw
powered pedal tractor. Wrapping
his frame around the tiny Ford
replica, the Keller Bros, service
technician managed to skid 223
pounds -along with himself- to the
finish line amid the dm created by
the huffing Homelite engine.
According to Chet Nicarry, the
tractor company’s General
Manager, the pull attracted about
25 percent more entries than last
year’s showing. With bleachers
overflowing, and surrounding floor
space at a premium, it looks like
the crowd pleasing Pedal Pull at
Buffalo Springs may be in danger
of outgrowing its “stadium.”
Maybe next year we'll “see you at
the Buck,” Keller Bros.
