HONESDALE - The art of
bringing happiness and laughter to
other people is a rare and
cherished gift in our troubled
world.
For many years, clowns have
brought smiles to the faces of
circus goers and parade watchers.
Their silly antics, raggedy hair,
and painted faces bring sunshine
into the gloomiest days. In some
cases, clowns save lives. More
than once, a rodeo clown has lured
an angry bull or a bucking bronco
away from the fallen rodeo rider.
How does a person become a
clown? Pennsylvania teens will
have the opportunity to learn the
art of clowning as a part of the first
Annual 4-H Clown Camp.
The dates for the teen camp are
the afternoon of March 10 at St.
John’s Lutheran Church, S.
Wilkes-Barre, and the evening of
March 14 at the Pomeroy’s
Community Room, Wyoming
Valley Mall, Rt. 315, Wilkes-Barre.
The final session in which all the
participating clowns will perform
for friends and family will occur
the evening of March 23 at St.
John’s Lutheran Church, S.
Wilkes-Barre.
Participants will learn the basis
of clowning, including: learning to

It has a high concentration of water-soluble Phosphorus that
gets to young seedlings quickly Helps plants establish a good
root system the starting point for top yields Its quick-acting
and long-lasting Nitrogen team up to feed the young plants
for full yield potential, continually from sprouting to harvest.
This is the Starter Special that corn growers know from good
experience. It’s highly effective as a banded starter. And it’s
SAFE... no chance of ammonia damage to tender, young
seedlings when used as a “pop up” and applied directly with
the seed at 50 lbs /acre
