Thursday at the Lancaster Farm
and Home Center.

Lancaster County.
10 a.m. - Farm crime, Trooper

Poultry producers attending the

Etters, Evelyn Dehmey, R 3
Halifax, and Calvin Mauser, El
Elizabethville. The awards were
presented by extension home
economist Patricia Huff, extension
4-H agent Fred Rudy and extension
agriculture agent Bruce Kreider,
respectively.
Vicki Inscho, a freelance home
economist, received the Family
Living Leadership award. Through
her'work on micro wave cooking,
Mrs. Inscho traveled throughout
the county last year and contacted
365 people.
As past treasurer of Dauphin
County 4-H Clubs Inc., Evelyn
Dehmey was presented the 4-H
Leadership award. Mrs. Dehmey
served as treasurer for eight
consecutive years.
Dairyman Calvin Mauser
received the Agriculture
Leadership award. Mauser, who
recently sold his herd of cows to his
son, is vice president of the Pa.
Guernsey Association and is a
member of the com club.
In other business, the following
were nominated to three-year
terms on the extension board of
directors: Jesse Lenker, Amy
Williams, Helen Bleacher, John
Johnson and Richard Hann. New
directors are Armond Snowdon
and Ruth Tallman.
During 1983, the county ex
tension service held 696
educational meetings presented by
staff personnel and an additional
389 meetings directed by volun
teers. News articles, radio and
television broadcasts and
educational material were
prepared and distributed.
An active 4-H sponsor, the
Dauphin County Extension Service
sponsored 26 clubs last year,
representing 2,396 members. LE
