D4—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, March 3,1984 NY cattlemen elect executive secretary CORNING, N.Y. - Lee Kraszewski of Coming has been named executive secretary of the New York Beef Cattlemen’s Association. He succeeds Robert Good of Perry who is retiring after seven years in the position. Kraszewski is a native of the Elmira area and was educated in the city’s parochial school system. He attended both Cornell University and Elmira College and served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Kraszewski and his wife Karen have a 225-acre farm on Sticklertown Rd. in the town of Big Flats. They have a herd of Polled Herefords and also raise hogs. Kraszewski has been a member of the New York Beef Cattlemen’s Association for eight years and has served as Chemung County Director for the Southern Tier Division since 1980. He is currently assistant treasurer and his wife assistant secretary for the ' Division. He is a member of the Chemung County Farm Bureau Board of HEWEY WELDING Directors and chairman of the local affairs committee. He is also a member of the State Farm Bureau livestock committee, the Chemung County Agricultural District advisory committee, the Chemung County Cooperative Extension agriculture committee, and the Sullivan Trails Resource Conservation and Development Council. In 1982 he was named Out standing Cooperator for the Chemung County Soil and Water Conservation District and this winter he organized the Chemung County Beef Short Course. The Kraszewskis have three children: Jessica, and twins Andrew and Stephen, 1. As executive director of the state-wide New York Beef Cat tlemen’s Association, Kraszewski will be in charge of membership, marketing, sales, producer ser vices, and the many other programs of the organization He was selected for the position from a large group of applicants. In addition to the judging on July 25-26 of 1983-born heifers and cow-calf pairs shown by junior over the executive secretary post at the March 17 Council meeting said, “I look forward to the challenges of the position.
