annual meeting of the Nor
theastern Pennsylvania Maple

in co-operation with the Penn-State Extension Service, is again pre
senting a series of evening meetings pertaining to our Major crops.
We have attempted to develop a schedule of interest, with
capable and knowledgable speakers. We sincerely hope you will
find the time and interest to attend one or both of these meetings.

The program began with a movie
titled “Collecting The Maple
Bonus”. The movie was produced
by Purdue University and showed
modern methods of collecting,
evaporating, processing and
marketing maple syrup and maple
products in the midwest states.
Lloyd Sipple, Editor and
Publisher of the “Maple Syrup
Digest” was the guest speaker. He
spoke on a number of topics, in
cluding his experiences as a large
maple syrup producer in New
York, marketing of maple syrup in
New York and Pennsylvania,
maple syrup operation inspections
and a review of maple syrup
research.

Producer’s Association, gave a
report from the annual meeting of
the Pennsylvania State Maple
Producer’s Council, which was
held during Farm Show. He
reported on the proposed maple
syrup operations inspection by the
Pennsylvania Department of
Agriculture.

Farm Show Maple Products Sales
