The 4-270 Field Boss tractor was
recently introduced by White
Farm, and features the company’s
new 4x4 powershift transmission
with on-the-go shifting through
four speeds in each of four ranges.
The new tractor, rated at 270 hp
(manufacturer’s estimated hp),
has a total of 16 forward speeds
and four reverse, with eight field
speeds between 2 and 7 mph.
“White Farm is proud of this
new Field Boss, and we’re excited
to see how interested farmers are
in purchasing this tractor,” says
John Peterson, Director of
Marketing Operations. “And what

The gang-mounted 20-inch
straight coulters on 7 1/2-inch
centers provide efficient chopping
of trash and deep penetration.
High clearance, 32-inch semi-rigid
or spring-cushioned shanks give
better trash clearance. Three-inch
reversible twisted shovels or four
inch twisted moldboards with
replacemable points are available.
MF 115’s sequencing cylinders
with positive hydraulic control
assure uniform depth and control
the amount of trash incorported.
MF 133 Chisel Plow
The new MF 133 chisel plow
provides primary tillage in areas
where water and wind erosion
require leaving crop residue on or
near the soil surface.
The chisel plow is available in
three basic frame sizes including a
three-bar mounted rigid frame
with 10 to 16 feed cutting width, a
four-bar, pull-type folding frame
with 18 to 26 feet cutting width.
The MF 133 is 98 inches long.
Spreading the shanks over the
four-bar frame creates a 36-inch
rank spacing between shanks and
allows working trashy fields with
less plugging.
Thirty-two inch under frame
clearance permits up to 12-inch
penetration to break up hardpan,
aerate the soil and achieve good
trash flow through. Twin com
pression spring assemblies hold
the shanks in the ground while
providing rock protection to
reduce shank breakage.
