It is also an honor to win reserve champion But winning both grand and reserve is a double honor, one that four of the par ticipants in the junior breeding show at the Farm Show Wed nesday can claim, Kathy Weaver, of Bedford County, swept the Cornedale class, winning both grand and reserve with two yearling ewes. Less Lazarus, Lehigh County, also claimed both honors in the Rambouillet class, winning with two ewe lambs. The last two participants to claim both honors were a brother and sister combination. Gerald and Barbara Rohrer, Lancaster County, won champion honors with a yearling Southdown ewe and reserve honors with their South down ewe lamb. Other champion honors went to William MacCauley, Chester County, took champion with his Suffolk yearling ewe. Fourteen-year-old David Schultz Jr. of Nazareth, Nor thampton County, was selected the 1983 Dorset Youth of the Year by the Pennsylvania Dorset Breeders Association on Sunday following the breed competition at the 68th Farm Show. David owns 34 animals, including 30 ewes, one ram and three market lambs, and has been exhibiting through the Northampton County Livestock Club for the past six years. The son of Mr. and Mrs. David Schultz, David, above, receives his award, a sheepskin, from the Pa. Lamb and Wool Queen, Aimee Sheeder. Mike Koehler, Lehigh County, grand champion in the Cheviot breed with his ewe lamb. Donna MacCauley, Chester County, captured reserve honors with her Cheviot yearling ewe. Grand champion in the Dorset breed went to Alicia Strausbaugh, York County, for her ewe lamb Reserve honors in that breed was Margaret Herr, Lancaster County, with a ewe lamb. The Shropshire champion was owned by Lisa Converse, Chester County, with a yearling ewe. The reserve title went to Joyce Harp ster, Centre County, with a ewe lamb. And in the Suffolk class, William MacCauley, Chester County, took first with his yearling ewe, and Sandy Hopple, Cumberland County, took reserve honors with her ewe lamb. Judge for the show was Gary Ricketts, Extension sheep expert from the University of Illinois.
