Scranton arrived for the ceremonies in a horse drawn carnage, accompanied by his wife Coral, daughters Elizabeth and Juliann, and by Secretary of Agriculture Penrose Hallowed and his wife, Irish. Scranton said, “Agriculture is the pride of Pennsylvania. All the citizens of the Commonwealth benefit from the bounty of our farms.” Representatives of 22 com modity groups presented the Lt.
