Philadelphia Eggs
Wednesday, November 23
Report supplied by USDA
MARKET COMMENT: Prices
unchanged. Cartoned demand is
mixed. Most dealers still note good
to very good orders while others
have reported orders as fair and
not up to anticipated levels.
Traders indicate lighter orders are
expected next week because of
high retail shelf prices plus a lack
of features which should dampen
the buying interest. Floor stocks
are adequate, and orders have
been met in most all instances.
Additional offerings are light,
particularly on nest runs. Un
dertone fully steady.

Report (applied by UBDA
Market Comment: Prices
continue to trend higher. Offerings
of live remain limited and the
uncertainty of supply for the next
few weeks leaves processors in a
state of confusion. Plants are
running on reduced schedules and
on occasion broilers are being
processed to fill line time. The call
for earner packs is good.

Because of the Current dangers of spreading the
Avian Flu virus from farm to farm, representatives
from Moyer’s Chicks, have been making themselves
scarce. We are, however, as close as the nearest
phone, and we are working hard at co-ordinating
supplies for customers within the Q-Zone and for
those without and those out of state.
Whatever your requirements are for chicks, pullets,
or set dates, we’d like to put something together for
you. BUT don’t delay: Supplies and Hatch Dates are
limited.
