Top Acres siblings top Nat’l Brown Swiss Sale
LEBANON - The 1983 National
Brown Swiss Convention drew to a
dose with the sale of outstanding
cattle. The fifty-five bead of elite
cattle averaged 15160.
Topping the sale was a young
bull consigned by Top Acres of St.
Paris, Ohio. Top Acres Sterling
ET, a son of Bridge View
Jubilation, sold for $27,000 to the
Sterling Synidicate of Fort Wayne,

Show Storm, holds the highest
protein record of the breed, was
1961 National Total Performance
Winner, and was nominated All-
American seven times. Sterling’s

across on udder and are prominent
in All-American winnings.

Sterling bull. Top Acres Notable
Stanca-ET is sired by Norvic Jason
Notable. Also consigned by Top
Acres, she sold to AfcG Swiss Farm
of lowa for $15,000.
Four other sale offerings topped
the $lO,OOO marie. Blessing Farm of
Fort Wayne, Indiana consigned an
ET yearling daughter of Norvic
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wilson of Kimberton, Pennsylvania
(left) purchased one of the six Brown Swiss selling for
$lO,OOO or more. The top bred heifer of the sale, E-One S.
Jim Julette was named All-American Heifer Calf in 1982.
Dean Daubert is at the halter and Donald Bradley (left),
auctioneer and Wayne Sliker, sales manager, are in the
auction block.
Lilason’s Beautician. Her dam is
out of Welcome in Stretch and was
the 1900 National Total Per
formance Winner and the dam of
the 1979 All-American Produce.
She sold for $11,250 to Penny
Lane Associates of Decatur, In
diana.
Coming in at $10,500 was an
eleven month old bull consigned by
Merlin Geadelmann of Clarence,
lowa. Oak Forest Indexer ET is

sired by Lar Le Stretch Titan and
out of Oak Forest Elegant Janet,
the highest indexer and CPI cow of
the breed. He sold to the Indexer
Syndicate of Tifflin, Ohio.
Four year old Long View
Jubilation Isabel, consigned by
Dennis Long of Thurmont,
Maryland, brought $lO,OOO. She
placed second in dry cow com
petition of the 1963 Eastern
