reflect trading prices for gradable nest run eggs (GNR) on ECI, a nation
wide trading center for producers, packers and marketers. GNR eggs are
classified by weight in 30-dozen cases, and traded in lots of either 300 or
750 cases. Prices are FOB buyers dock, and are computed Tuesday and

orders as a little lighter. Others Ex Large
have indicated a pickup in orders Large
as retailers stock up for the Mediums
weekend. Floor stocks are usually Pullets
adequate for current needs, but Off Grade
many dealers have been unable to BROWN
build inventories to desired holiday Jumbo
levels. Traders remain active for Ex Large
eggs particularly gradable nest Large
runs, and this interest goes unfilled Mediums
in many instances. The availability Pullets
of additional stocks is light and Peewees
generally held at premium to Off Grade

movement on whole birds is fair to
occasionally good, but overall the
demand has tapered a little at
most plants. Breast items continue
to clean satisfactorily while leg
and leg quarters are difficult to
clear under a light and
unaggressive demand. Wings are
fair, giblets are good. Overall
slaughter is light as most plants
have reduced their kill. Ap
proximately half the number of
plants in Delmarva will not be
open tomorrow. Live supplies are
adequate. Weights range from
lighter than desired to desirable.
Undertone is fully steady.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are
unchanged on U.S. Grade A at .57-
.62 cents
